Small Projects

Fabric white flowers cut in a mix of tulle, gazar, and cheesecloth. Scarf is covered in a white tulle with tucks and pleats for texture. Suit would be cut in heavy weight white texture crepe – pants hung on bias with CF seam and subtle flair at hem. Collage of Ceicil Beaton and Brassai photographs.
Halston inspired “Saucer Cut” bias cut dress draped on the form. I’d imagine it cut in oyster white crepe back satin. Front piece is lined in self, the rest is lined in mesh
Mix of off-white and ivory silk georgette spiral ruffles sewn on straight grain tulle squares. Sewn together in varying directions and then hung on bias to drape dress. Internal cotton bobinette bustier to give shape. “Vionnet” technique
Pintucked ivory silk faille gown with exposed back lacing detail. Internal bonned corset cut in cotton bobinette. Hip padded and covered in molded ice wool to preserve smooth line.
