This collection, though never fully realized, was inspired by my mother, Victoria, and her journey—from a childhood in the Soviet Union, through Italy, to New York City, where she met my father.

It draws on Russian folkloric imagery, the vibrant designs of Leon Bakst, a vintage scarf passed down from my grandmother, and the timeless elegance of Chanel’s little black dress.
